Volunteering at Meir Panim

The happenings of Thursday December 5, 2024 in Caesarea, Israel

These were questions I answered about volunteering while we were in Israel.

• Where do you volunteer?
  • We volunteered at Meir Panim.

• Why do you volunteer?
  • Because there are poor people and the soldiers need food also.

• What kind of work do you do there?
  • We pack Shabbat food for the poor people and the soldiers. We sort through vegetables and put only the good vegetables in the bags. The vegetables go in bags and then you give them to poor people and the soldiers.

• How does volunteering make you feel?
  • Happy happy happy!

• Why do you think volunteering makes you feel this way?
  • It makes me feel good about myself when I help other people.

• Would you recommend volunteering to other people? Why or why not?
  • Yes. Because it would be awesome and they’d love it.

• What other types of volunteer work do you hope you will get to do in the future?
  • Help animals.
