The happenings of Thursday January 9, 2025 through Sunday March 9, 2025 in Caesarea, Israel
While we are in Israel we go to volunteer every Tuesday. We volunteer at a place called Meir Panim. Every time we have gone we have done a different job.
The first time we went we cleaned lettuce by taking off all of the bad leaves and then packing the good lettuce in bags. On some of the pieces there were these gigantic worms that were super gross. We also put avocados in bags. The second time we went we put corn in bags. And the third time we went we packed people meals for shabbat we packed them chicken and pasta. It smelled delicious but we didnt get to eat any, but I wish I could. When you volunteer most of the time you pack food for poor people who can't afford to buy it, so they get it for free. You also bring food to soldiers at their army bases.
When I volunteer I feel great because I know that I'm helping people get food. I recommend volunteering because it's fun and you are helping people. There are also many different types of volunteer work. You can help animals, help build homes for people, pack food for people, and so much more!!!! This is why I love volunteering.
