These things occurred on Sunday August 4, 2024 through Monday August 5, 2024 in Edinburgh, Scotland

“What are we doing today?” “We’re gonna go to an amazing show where they do these crazy tricks,” my dad said. “Ooo, what tricks do they do?” “I don’t know.”

“Whoosh whoosh” the wind hitting my face after spending two hours on a plane felt so good.

The lights were blinding as we strolled down the streets of Scotland. There were people everywhere you looked, people on buses, on trams just doing their normal thing. We walked and talked. When the words came out of our mouths, they came out super fast because we were all super happy and wondering about what it would be like.

We were standing in line for the 360 Show (that was the show my dad was talking about when I first asked him) then we all asked, “Can we have ice cream?” “Yes. I’ll go try to find some,” my dad said because he’s the best dad in the world. It took forty-five minutes for my dad to come back with melted ice cream and water in his hands. We took the ice cream and hugged him, then said thank you. “Guys you have to finish your ice cream soon!” My mom told us. “I’m already done,” I said.

Now we're sitting on the chairs waiting for the show to start. For the next thirty minutes, my brothers and I were complaining to my parents all the time, “When is it gonna start. When is it gonna start? When is it gonna start?” “Yo, yo, yo,” a girl walked onto the stage. “Welcome to the 360 show” she rapped. “We have five performers…” She introduced all of the dudes. The first one up was a BMXer. He did crazy tricks like standing on his bike and not even using his hands, only his feet and pedaling and wheeling for what felt like five hours. He also peddled backwards and he did a lot of other cool tricks. Next was the basketball freestyler. He came in with one ball and started doing cool tricks like through the legs and behind the back, spinning it on his finger. Then a giant button appeared on the screen and it said, “Don’t press this button” so everyone started chanting, “Press it! Press it! Press it!” So he pressed it. That made another ball come onto the stage and he juggled them and made it stay on his neck. But then another button was projected. And it said, “Don’t press it.” So everyone started chanting again, “Press it!” and that made another ball come out. So he juggled those balls. Then one more button was projected. It said, “Don’t press it.” The dude said, “Don’t press it, don’t press it.” But of course everyone yelled, “Press it! Press it! Press it!” That made another ball come out. So he did all of his tricks but it was super crazy because it was with four basketballs.

The next two people came on stage and a game was projected on the wall. It had two people, one person picked the dude on the right and a break dancer came on stage. The other person picked the dude on the left. The other break dancer came on stage. Then there was an epic dance battle to see who was better. I liked both of them. They each were doing mind-blowing tricks like the worm. The break dancer on the right won and high fived his teammate. Then the next time they had a dance battle the dude on the left won. So they had to do a tie breaker. The dude on the right went first. He flipped and breakdanced like crazy. The break dancer on the left went. He did some of the coolest dance moves I’ve ever seen. Then, they both got on stage and the projector counted down: “3, 2, 1, Go!” They each spun on their heads for five minutes. But then they both fell. But it wasn’t a hurt kind of fall. They just fell. On the screen it said, “Double Knockout!” So they tied.

The next person was who I think was the coolest. He basically was standing in a giant hula hoop. It is called a Cyr wheel (pronounced “sear”). He stood in it and was holding onto the Cyr wheel making it bounce up and down so that he never touched the ground. The Cyr wheel looked like it was five feet off the ground and was going in circles. He was going so fast. I wondered how he didn’t fall. During one of the tricks he held on with one hand, spun it around, and then put two feet on the side. But he wasn’t in the middle, he was on the outside of the Cyr wheel. It was super cool and I was like, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How does he do that?!” This whole time the girl was rapping and singing. At the end, all of the trick performers tried to do each other’s tricks.

After the show, we went outside and waited for the basketball freestyler. When he came we got a picture with him. For the picture you could spin the basketball on your finger or he could spin it and put it on sunglasses for you. I chose spinning it on sunglasses. He also gave me a sheet with basketball equipment that I could buy. After the 360 show we googled a place to eat. It took us a long time to find it but it was worth it. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and cooked rice. It was MAGNIFICENT. There was another show my mom bought tickets to, it was supposedly really good, but we were all too tired so we didn’t go. We walked to the hostel sleepily and went to bed.

I was super hungry when we woke up and needed food. We walked down the streets of Scotland and saw a pastry place, “Can we go there?” my brother and I said. “Why don’t you go down there and see what there is,” my mom said to my dad. We checked what there was, but I didn’t like anything so we went to where my brothers were. I got these waffles that were INCREDIBLE!! After the amazing waffle experience we headed towards Edinburgh Castle. We stopped at a field and played. We played tag and Red Rover. In Red Rover you and the person you're on a team with hold hands while one person from the other team tries to run through your hands and then you try to run through their hands.

Since the field was also super close to the art gallery we decided to go inside the gallery. We went inside and went to the kids section which just had a coloring spot. “Time to go to the Castle” my parents said. “We’ve been to enough castles,” my younger brothers whined. “Guys, stop complaining,” my older brother and I said. Once we got to the castle we stood and looked at it because we weren’t allowed in. Don’t ask me why ‘cause I have no idea why. Next, we walked to an Illusion Museum. The first illusion is where you go into a room, one person stands on the right and one person on the left. The person on the left looks really big and the person on the right looks supa tiny. We ended our day by watching Despicable Me #4 at the cinema. Then, we went to the bus terminal and waited for our bus to come.
