Ruminations upon Sunday July 28, 2024 to Sunday July 27, 2025 travelling between Reykjavík, Iceland and Home
This is my story of our yearlong trip. I'm adding every few days so come back to read more!
Iceland : We got on the plane to Iceland. After we got off the plane we took a bus. before we got on it. We saw a teacher from are school an talked to her. then we got on the bus and it took us to a hostel. We used the locker storage. Then we took a van to our air bnb. After the ride we went to sleep. The next morning we got ready for an eight hour trip. suddenly I threw up again and again. Then the rest of the family left the house I threw up right after they left the house. while me and my dad watched Ratatouille.
Northern Ireland : We landed in Dublin and took a car to a cottage in Castlerock. There was a cat named Rosy who liked us and was always outside the cottage every day. Then we drove back to Dublin for Shabbat then took a flight to Scotland.
Scotland : We land in Scotland. we took a train to our hostel then we went to the 360 show. Day two. We go to a bakery for breakfast. After breakfast we go on a walk for the rest of the day. On the walk we saw a street performer so we watched him
London: We took an overnight bus to London, I threw up. When we got there we went to a park. After the park we went to a train station and got on a train to Kingston Upon Thames. We waIked to our houseboat. The owner showed us around the boat. Then we went to a vegan restaurant. We went back to the houseboat where we played a lot of prez. After prez we went to bed. The next day we played prez. After prez we went to do our laundry. After we did laundry we went to a bakery. They had very yummy food and drinks. After the bakery we went to a park. We played there for two hours. Then we went back home. The next day, we hung out with Carine and Simo at Hampton Court Palace. On the walk there we picked and ate blackberries. We learned about Henry VIII.
The next day, me and my brother who is 12, went on a trampoline while my twin and my other older brother who is 10 went on a bouncy house. I paid for it with my own money.
We were done with the houseboat because the toilet wasn’t working. Yay! We went to Emily’s, who is my mom’s friend, for Shabbat. We had fun making obstacles in their backyard with her daughter. It was fun! Then, Carine and Simo came to Emily’s house to have Shabbat lunch with us.
